Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

So this is our tree this year. Downsized but I love it. We were cleaning out some of the clutter, (I swear there's a little hoarder in me), and I found this tree. It must have been one of the kids during their apartment days. I was going to use it outside but when I decorated it I changed my mind. Love it!

Christmas is Coming...

I usually don't get excited this early for Christmas... I don't decorate this early, I don't start making little bobbles and other such decorations. I don't start thinking about baking. I am usually a humbug until about a week before Christmas but this year I have 2 new grandbabies to celebrate and isn't that what Christmas is all about!?
Ryder (all boy) was just a year on Thanksgiving Day...

London (little Diva like her Mom) was born on November 6. So I will have a fun Holiday this year.

But I have started making things for Christmas. I made this adorable little snowman from the sleeve of an old sweater, some felt and fiberfill. So cute and so easy. You can find him here and buy him if you like. I can custom design the hat or scarf or make him out of different fabric if you like.

I also made a couple of garlands for the Holidays... Check them out. I will be back to post more soon!

I haven't been on for awhile. I have been so busy making the fabric garlands that I can't do anything else. I can't believe how much everyone loves these! and I'm so glad! I have had fun making them and am really thrilled to be sharing in someone's special day. Having to breathe the fabric dust is OK! I have been matching the garlands up to some really cool stuff and doing it quite well, I might add. Like I was sent this picture.

  and made this garland...

I also made this garland....

after the color scheme of ...

So, if you have a certain item you want me to match a garland for you, this is a great idea.

So I've been away awhile...sorry. Too busy selling on Etsy! Which is a good thing, right? I love Etsy. I have never had so much fun selling online! The garlands I'm making have been a huge hit and so many people are buying for weddings, wedding showers, receptions and baby showers! Now I'm getting orders for people's bedrooms, kids rooms and my most recent project is a dust ruffle for a baby crib. I love the garlands. When they're all done and I'm carrying it across the room to put it in the shipping box, I feel like I'm carrying a beautiful expensive wedding gown! I recently made a garland that was 24 feet wide and 6 feet long. It strung almost the whole way across the craft room!

This was a shabby chic doorway curtain...cool idea huh!

                                                     Soft...pretty...feminine...

I called this lemon lime parfait...

A garland for a wedding backdrop... White ribbons, laces, silks and satins....

Beautiful in any setting, but perfect for weddings, a floor length garland would make a wonderful back drop for the Bride and Grooms table, add sparkle to the cake table or provide privacy for the Bride while she is preparing for the wedding. Hang them in shorter lengths and on dowel rods and scatter them over the dance floor ceiling. Hang them at the end of each buffet or guest table for a striking decoration at the reception. Put them at the alter, in doorways, over windows... the ideas are endless! Add different colored strands, beads or other frills for a different look or theme.

Made from strips of ripped fabric, ribbons and lace with tulle flowers, pom poms and knots. The garland is made to order, give approximately 2 weeks notice for order completion and can also be customized to color and size. The fabrics are white and off white, silky, satiny and simple cotton, fancy and classic ribbons and other pretty fabrics and notions to make this soft, flowy and OOAK! I have also shown beads and different colors on the garland to show different ideas. The garland can also be hung on a large hoop for backdrops or to hang over smaller areas.

Wedding Garland - To Die For!

I have been making garlands out of scrap fabric for birthday parties, showers, weddings and even for home decor, but this garland is by far the best one so far... sorry if I'm tooting my own horn, but I think this is gorgeous. You could add so much more to this, or nothing at all. Add seashells, accent colors to compliment your wedding colors or dried or silk flowers. Endless ideas...
