Dorothy's Rubies

I love old stuff. I love to look for old stuff at yard sales, flea markets, second hand stores, garage sales, Goodwill, Salvation Army, auctions or antique shops. I love the smell. I love the memories it holds. I love feeling like part of another time. An era gone by. Lost forgotten. It's sad, really, when you look at old things that someone 50 years ago owned and know that it's been left behind. I once went into an antique shop and there was a huge box of old cabinet photos. Most of the photos were of kids, but there were families, too and I bought the whole darn box because I felt like the were orphans. Weird huh. My kids thought so. I just told them they were my adopted kids. At least they didn't ask me for money or want to drive my car!

I have found another place to find wonderful vintage items. You can find the most extraordinary and unique treasures on this site. I've opened my own store on Etsy  and it has become my new passion. I joined Etsy in 2009 but never really did anything with it. I didn't even really look at the shops on there. Boy was I missing out! I can't stay off of it now. I have found some excellent deals, unique gifts and wonderful vintage clothing and household stuff. I love looking at everything. I know you would, too, if you checked it out.

Right now, I'm recycling clothing. I use vintage or newer clothing, but I totally revamp the clothes to make it into something fabulous! and definitely wearable again.You know the old motto
